Who am I?
About me
I started my veterinary career as a communications major turned animation production supervisor turned small business owner turned science nerd. This means that throughout veterinary school, my learning curve was very, very, VERY steep. I had to start from scratch and learn the core scientific concepts that others students had learned during their undergraduate degrees.
What does this have to with anything?
Apart from the medical and scientific information I learned throughout four years of veterinary school, one of the most critical skills I garnered was an ability to find and identify non-biased, evidence based, and factual information. I also learned how to surround myself with really smart people and created an informational network that I can reach out to when I have questions.
I started this blog in an effort to combat a lot of the misinformation that I see online, in chatrooms, and on all sorts of social media. I am ready to be your nerdy researcher, to utilize my vast network of smarty-pants friends, and maybe to tell a few fun stories in the process.
So what do you want to know?
